Rachelle Gryn Brettler
Journalist & Freelance Writer
I write for print and digital, mostly about crafts and craftsmen, with work featured in The Financial Times and The Telegraph.

In 2021, I co-authored with tea specialist Ausra Burg, the book "Tea Stories: Japan", an exploration of Japanese tea culture.
In 2023 I curated a series of 21 interviews for Jaggedart Gallery, London for their publication "twenty-one material conversations and beyond".

I am a contributor to the Homo Faber Guide for the Michelangelo Foundation.

I also create content for websites which have included Soho tea company My Cup of Tea, and the textile studio Alba Amicorum.

It’s the story of something being created that I am interested in, whether cutting-edge or traditional, from guerrilla gardening to precious metal sculptures and all that is in between – crafts, design, food, places, social enterprise and the people involved in the process.

I was born in New York, am London-based and love working globally.

I have worked in design, theatre, television and film production and urban regeneration.
